07/03/2007 - SBSeg 2007's Final Call for Papers

Security is an area of research whose applicability and visibility has increased extraordinarily during the last 20 years. The interest of the scientific community in studying tools and techniques for preserving requirements such as confidentiality, integrity, availability, authenticity and non-repudiation of information grew rapidly all over the world. Also remarkable is the renewed interest of mathematicians for areas that until some decades ago were considered apparently ethereal such as number theory, which is the basis for most part of modern cryptography, indispensable tool in the repertoire of security solutions.

Based in these interests, the Brazilian Symposium on Information and Computer System Security (SBSeg) was created in 2001, with the objective of being a place for the presentation of research projects, discussions and activities relevant to the area, integrating the associated Brazilian community of researchers and professionals. SBSeg is an annual event, promoted by the Brazilian Society for Computing (SBC).

In this seventh edition, the symposium will be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with technical sessions, tutorials, invited   lectures   by  foreign  experts,  panel discussions   and workshops. SBSeg 2007 will be organized by the Computer Center of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (NCE/UFRJ).

More information on the symposium can be found on www.sbseg2007.nce.ufrj.br
